SUMMARY

As Business Director at Mediabrands Malaysia, you will lead a portfolio of key clients and play a pivotal role in driving business growth and crafting effective media strategies. You’ll guide integrated campaigns, foster strong client relationships, and collaborate across teams to deliver impactful results. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Leadership & Strategic Growth

  • Manage and grow assigned client portfolios.

  • Develop data-informed media strategies with measurable outcomes.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, leveraging Mediabrands’ planning tools.

  • Work closely with Kinesso, MBCS, and other internal teams on integrated solutions.

Campaign Execution & Financial Oversight

  • Ensure smooth execution of media campaigns within timelines and budget.

  • Monitor media spend, revenue targets, and overall account profitability.

  • Oversee contracts, NDAs, and financial documentation compliance.

  • Keep up with market trends to ensure proactive client recommendations.

New Business Development

  • Contribute to pitch efforts and explore new growth areas.

  • Recommend innovative media solutions beyond conventional formats.

Team Management & Collaboration

  • Lead a team of media professionals to deliver high-quality work.

  • Provide regular guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.

  • Encourage a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability.

Client Relations & Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong, lasting client relationships.

  • Align strategies with client business goals.

  • Maintain connections with media vendors and publishers.

  • Act as the key escalation point for issue resolution.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in media, advertising, or related fields.

  • Strong expertise in media planning across channels.

  • Proven experience managing client portfolios and teams.

  • Solid financial acumen and experience managing account-level P&L.

  • Proficiency with media tools (e.g., Nielsen, GWI, YouGov).

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Passion for media innovation and digital transformation.
