Position Summary:

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer as the technical lead of a product team working on advertising planning products relied on by Interpublic Group agency users. The team is currently working on rebuilding a streamlined version of one of the group’s key planning products; this is an exciting opportunity to be a part of building and architecting a product from the ground up with AI at its core, utilizing agents to power an AI copilot to assist users throughout their journey. Additionally, the team works on several other products that have a data science focus (for example to optimize budgets across different marketing channels), so this is an ideal position for someone with an interest in this area.

This position reports to the VP, Software Engineering, Planning. It will be primarily remote, though you are also welcome to work in our London office.

Our applications largely run on AWS in Kubernetes clusters. The development team is primarily located in France, Poland and the Netherlands, however we have developers across a wide range of locations around the Europe and the rest of the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shape the architecture and engineering design of the product and its interactions with other applications and services

  • Discuss technical solutions with the development team, communicate goals and facilitate execution
  • Develop new features and expand the product capabilities
  • Lead functional design and code reviews and provide feedback to the development team, encouraging best practices
  • Coordinate with QA team members and work together to achieve automated testing in support of continuous delivery capabilities
  • Maintain a high-performance team, and encourage a highly innovative culture
  • Have a results-driven personality, high enthusiasm, energy, and confidence
