Position summary  

Reporting to the Data & Reporting Solutions Director, the Manager, Data Engineering will build and maintain automated pipelines within our Data & Reporting Solutions products to provide insights and answers to business questions and challenges. This role will work closely with local users and stakeholders to support the development of custom pipelines and processes for managing large amounts of media data from a variety of sources and markets. This role is hands on and will work with other data engineers, analysts, software engineers, and other stakeholders to build integrated, high performing solutions for global clients. 

Responsibilities 

  • Design, develop and implement data pipelines and data models to ingest media data, ensuring availability and quality. 
  • Identify and ingest key data sources into our data platform to provide answers to business questions, working with stakeholders to ensure satisfaction. 
  • Develop and automate ETL processes and scripts to ensure custom data sources are properly connected to core datasets and data QA workflows are run effectively. 
  • Maintain task backlogs and ensure issues are resolved within agreed service levels. 
  • Be a technical point of contact for end users, providing regular updates and ensuring training and documentation is provided and kept updated. 
  • Maintain strong relationships with other Kinesso teams, including Ad Operations and marketing sciences, as well as other agency teams to ensure services are aligned. 
  • Support the ongoing Data & Reporting Solutions product development, identifying market needs and innovative ideas to add to the backlog 
  • Oversee QA processes to ensure data accuracy. 

About You 

  • Solid experience building and automating data & analytics solutions using a variety of modern ETL and BI technologies. 
  • Experience working with stakeholders to collect requirements and translate these in to technical designs 
  • Strong understanding of data architecture principles including data model design and working with transactional data 
  • Technical background designing and deploying automated data management systems, ideally within marketing and advertising. 
  • Experience working with offshore engineering teams. 
  • Strong understanding of the AdTech / Martech data landscape and the common tools used to manage marketing intelligence. 
  • Good communicator, able to clearly communicate insights and strategic recommendations to business owners and leadership. 
  • Experience developing solutions in Snowflake, Tableau and Python desirable.
