Position Summary 

As SVP, Research Analytics you will be pivotal in managing the research agenda for the full media agency ecosystem.  These responsibilities span primary research, forecasting reporting and directing audience needs for the agencies comms design and strategy groups. In addition, serving as a consultant to all Mediabrands planning stakeholders. In addition to managing the day to day needs of internal and external clients, this role will be managing a high functioning team of directors and managers. 

Responsibilities 

  • Agency and Client POVs 
  • Support of new business efforts with primary and evaluation of secondary research 
  • Represent agency at industry committees and at conferences 
  • Lead agency relationship with research and measurement vendors 
  • Ability to communicate succinctly and professionally to senior leadership at the client and agency 
  • Audience strategy (e.g. creating/analyzing high value audiences for hyper targeting purposes) 
  • Manage a team of research and analytics professionals 

Required Skills & Experience 

  • Experience evaluating various attribution approaches including MTA 
  • Demonstrated success leading work multi-functional teams 
  • Deep understanding of media and marketing trends and the ability to pull together a variety of data sets to build narratives 
  • Experience drafting, fielding and analyzing surveys and qualitative measurements 
  • Experience with syndicated data sets such as MRI Simmons, GWI 
  • Experience with media measurement companies and methodologies  
  • Strong MS Excel & Power Point skills 
  • Demonstrated success in helping clients take concrete marketing action based on strategic and media inputs 
  • Strong understanding of data and ad tech ecosystem, with a focus on digital environment 
  • Expertise of audience science capabilities and good practices  
  • IPG Mediabrands does not require candidates to have a college degree 

Desired Skills & Experience 

  • 12+ years of experience in agency or client-side digital media planning or media analytics 
  • Presentation development and delivery 
  • Leadership and change management 
  • Strong written and verbal communication 
  • Ability to engage, develop, and give feedback to drive success of colleagues not reporting to you directly 
  • Ability to provide feedback & guidance in a constructive manner to direct reports 
  • Collaboration, including ability to drive clarity in a multi-stakeholder environment

The salary range for this position is posted below.  Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
