Overview
As an Account Director at Mediahub, you will be a key player in driving client success. You'll be responsible for understanding client needs, developing strategic media plans, and ensuring flawless campaign execution. This role demands a highly organised, communicative, and proactive individual who can effectively manage projects across markets and ensure strategic alignment.
Responsibility
At Mediahub your roles and responsibilities will be centred around the below core competencies. These include but are not limited to:
The Work - Media Planning, Strategy & Execution
- Leads responses to brief, the implementation of campaigns, as well as the management of reporting.
- Develop and implement tailored media strategies that align with client needs, utiliszing Mediahub's proprietary tools and planning process (Interact)
- Engages continuously with the I&A (Insight & Action, Mediahub's strategy team), R&D (Radical and Disruptive, Mediahub's media creativity team) and D&A (Data and Analytics) teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Takes responsibility of all work delivered to the client, by reviewing all key documents/ presentations prior to distribution.
- Evaluates media proposals and negotiate rates/programs to ensure highest value and efficiencies are delivered to the client.
- Fosters a challenging mindset with direct reports and internal teams to deliver unique and creative media plans
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with media partners, establishing Mediahub as a preferred agency collaborator sought after by key media players
- Support in setting roadmaps to align with clients climate actions goals and those of Green Hub (Mediahub's sustainability group)
Client Service
- Is the lead contact in day-to-day communication with your direct client (global Media client) and nurtures the relationship through delivering high standards of client satisfaction.
- Builds strong relationships and understanding of business objectives and marketing goals.
- Leads on all regular status calls with client/s, ensuring all actions are documented by the team and followed up in a timely manner
- Coordinates with local Mediabrands and client market teams to ensure seamless execution of global media strategies, aligning local market activations with overarching global campaign objectives.
- Provide in-depth performance analysis and insights, identifying opportunities for optimisation and growth.
- Maintain a high level of quality control throughout the campaign lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices and client expectations.
- Manage campaign budgets effectively, ensuring cost-efficiency and maximising return on investment.
Commercial
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the commercial agreement between the agency and client, ensuring all media plans accurately reflect agreed-upon charges prior to final approval.
- Maintains a deep understanding of Mediahub's product offerings and proactively identifies opportunities to introduce new products or services to clients, collaborating with senior team members to maximise incremental organic revenue potential.
- Supports the Business Director where relevant in reviewing commercial arrangements for your client/s. Has a thorough understanding of the detail as well as the impact it can have on the delivery of their work.
Career Development & Team Management
- Train, mentor and support the Account Manager/s within your team. Notably, supporting the AM with career development conversations for the Executive/s and MBP/s in your team.
- Contributes to agency culture and represents your client team by being a voice to the rest of the agency about good work occurring or celebrating individuals successes on your team
- Support the Business Director in setting the tone for your team, by living out Mediahub’s values daily and instilling that in how your team works together.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Prior planning experience across all channels, including TV/Press & Digital, OOH
- Experience in planning across the UK and European countries (desired).
- Embraces a ‘challenger mindset’ in the delivery of all work and in managing their direct reports.
- Excellent communication and client servicing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address challenges proactively.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.
- A collaborative and team-oriented approach, with a willingness to share knowledge and support colleagues.
- A passion for media and a desire to deliver impactful results for clients.
