Role Description 

A communications manager is a pivotal role in any client team. They are the bridge between strategy and execution. A good manager is connected to daily campaign delivery while managing upwards to push wider agency initiatives.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic person to join the team as Comms Manager and lead the planning work across a number of Kenvue brands, with a particular focus on coordinating across our Nordic Markets. Primarily, you will be working with our Nordic market counterparts to coordinate and optimise planning to be consistent with the rest of the region.

You will be the voice of authority for our UK based clients and will work with the regional markets to ensure campaign delivery. You will need to build excellent relationships with clients, media-owners and other UM planning staff. You will need to be able to take a client brief, understand it and work with internal stakeholders to create a best in class media plan that you can present to your client. You will work with junior staff members to ensure that the campaign is set up, optimised and reported on to the high levels expected by our clients.

This role is a combination of planning and buying media primarily across display (direct & programmatic), Press, OOH, TV, VOD as well as opportunities to explore other suitable platforms if needed. You’ll be expected to manage a range of products, consistently going above and beyond for clients and delivering innovative solutions where possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day to day management of client relationships, along with the rest of the team, earning the trust and respect of the client and key contacts.
  • Work closely with the Nordic UM/Kenvue teams to build strategic and innovative plans that are reflective of the core brand strategy
  • Collaborate with local UK brand leads to ensure consistency of brand planning across the region
  • Develop deep understanding of client’s products and business challenges
  • Responsible for the delivery of the Moments Planning process.
  • Understanding audience’s that can unlock growth for client business and use consumer insights to build and shape the communication approach
  • Add strategic value where possible. Deliver insight led reports to clients to assist in evolving the media approach and build learnings and optimisations to make campaigns better.
  • Manage and support the junior members of the team in:
    • Coordination of market plans inc. campaign live dates and creative delivery
    • High quality accuracy of media plans and financial diligence
    • Deliver insightful documents ( planning through to PCAs)
  • Work seamlessly with Strategy and Specialist teams so as to ensure brilliant thinking is turned into brilliant implementation
  • Share knowledge and understanding across the team and wider agency
  • Understands the importance of brilliant basics and how client servicing is key to building strong relationships with clients.
  • Follows processes and procedures put in place for effective delivery of campaigns, performance reports and finance reconciliations to meet client expectations.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • A media planner with experience across large/fast paced brands and is passionate about media and the role an agency can play in the evolving communications mix
  • Experience working with and coordinating international markets (preferably Nordics)
  • Knowledge of the Nordic media mix would be beneficial but not required
  • Expertise in using audience planning tools such as TGI, YouGov, Comscore & Touchpoints, Power Point, Excel and finance programs such as DDS and Prisma.
  • Highly organised individual with experience in managing digital (particularly programmatic) campaigns
  • Brilliant communication and relationship-building skills
  • Highly personable, collaborative and team-oriented
  • Enthusiastic and pro-active, always looking to make positive contributions and get involved
