Position Summary

 

Le rôle d'un Acheteur, Investissement est de préparer, négocier et documenter l'exécution des achats médias de clients, ainsi que d'aider le Superviseur ou le Directeur à préparer toute la documentation nécessaire pour supporter l’exécution des campagnes de clients (par exemple : rapports avant/après achat, évaluations/recommandations médias). Ce rôle exige que vous travailliez au sein d'une équipe d'investissement intégrée afin de garantir que le produit est fondé sur des connaissances et une expérience sans faille commune à toutes les équipes médias.

 

The role of a Buyer, Investment is to prepare, negotiate and document the execution of client’s media buys within their buying group, as well as prepare or assist the Supervisor/Manager in preparing all written documentation for the Planner or Client (e.g.: pre-buy/post-buy reports, media evaluations/recommendations, and other pertinent documentation). This role requires you to work as part of an integrated media investment team to ensure the product is grounded in insights and experience, resulting in flawless media executions.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Négocier les campagnes médiatiques directement avec les représentants des ventes.
  • Acheter tous les médias retenus en fonction des paramètres de la campagne.
  • Demander aux partenaires médias des soumissions pour les campagnes à venir.
  • Élaborer un calendrier des médias qui réponde aux paramètres de la campagne et aux objectifs de la marque.
  • En partenariat avec l'équipe de planification média, répondre aux préoccupations de marché, du calendrier et de la performance d'attribution de la marque.
  • Préparer et présenter des rapports avant et après l'achat.
  • Gestion des inventaires médias et suivre les changements avec un haut niveau de précision.
  • Il est responsable de la facturation et de la gestion du rapport de contrôle budgétaire (BCR).
  • Assurer une communication claire avec les équipes de planification (par exemple, participation aux séances de briefs).
  • Assister l'acheteur principal dans l'évaluation ou l'analyse du coût des opportunités et formuler des recommandations le cas échéant.
  • Informer de manière proactive l'équipe de toute variation dans l'exécution de plans médias.
  • Aider à la formation des employés juniors sur les outils et les processus.
  • Préparer des analyses de marché.
  • Continuer à développer de manière proactive sa connaissance des plateformes médias.

 

  • Negotiate media campaigns directly with sales representatives.
  • Purchase all assigned media to campaign parameters.
  • Request submissions for upcoming campaigns from media partners.
  • Develop a media schedule that satisfies campaign parameters and brand objectives.
  • In partnership with the media planning team address market concerns, timing, and brand attribution.
  • Prepare and present pre-buy and post-buy reports.
  • Upload media buys and track changes with a high level of accuracy.
  • Responsible for solving and clearing billing discrepancies/queries and managing the budget control report (BCR) in a timely manner.
  • Execute all relevant revisions to the media buy. Negotiate compensation as required.
  • Ensure clear communication with the planning teams (e.g. involvement in briefs).
  • Assist the Senior Buyer on the evaluation or cost value analysis of sponsorships and integrations and make recommendations where appropriate.
  • Explore promotional or value-added opportunities where applicable.
  • Proactively advise the team of any variations to execution of media plans.
  • Assist with training junior employees on tools and processes.
  • Assist with the preparation of media POVs.
  • Prepare market analyses.
  • Conduct third party audits as required.
  • Continue to proactively develop knowledge of the media landscape.

Desired Skills & Experience

 

  • Formation post-secondaire ou expérience professionnelle équivalente - Diplôme universitaire/de collège en publicité/marketing de préférence.
  • Au moins un (1) an d'expérience dans l'industrie des médias avec une expérience pertinente en matière d'achat.
  • Désir de développer et d'exceller dans une carrière dans l’expertise des médias.
  • Orienté vers le service à la clientèle. Sens aigu de l'analyse.
  • Grande capacité d'apprentissage et passion pour le développement continuel.
  • Excellentes aptitudes à la communication (écrite et orale).
  • Excellente capacité à gérer efficacement son temps et à établir des priorités.
  • Capacité à travailler efficacement et à effectuer plusieurs tâches à la fois.
  • Capacité à travailler en collaboration et de manière indépendante.
  • Capacité à développer et à entretenir des relations avec les partenaires médias.
  • Maîtrise des outils de recherche des médias.
  • Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office (Word, Excel et PowerPoint)

 

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience – University/College degree in advertising/marketing preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience within the media industry with proven buying experience.
  • Driven desire to develop and excel in a media career.
  • Client service oriented. Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Strong learning agility, with a passion for continuous development.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Highly developed organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent ability to manage and prioritize time effectively.
  • Ability to work well and multi-task.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
  • Ability to develop and foster relationships with media partners.
  • Proficient with media research tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
