Position overview 

As an Account Manager at Mediahub, you will be at the forefront of client interaction, responsible for understanding their needs, developing tailored media plans, using the relevant Mediahub tools and planning process, and ensuring flawless campaign execution. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve client objectives, manage budgets effectively, and maintain a high level of client satisfaction while delivering impactful media solutions.

This new role will be working on an exciting new client who operates in the retail space (confidential at this stage). The UK office will be responsible for planning & buying in the UK as well as overseeing the EMEA region (France & Germany are the priorities). The UK will also work closely with our US based global team.

Specifically this Account Manager role will be responsible for two areas;

  • UK Planning: Working across the multiple brands that our client has, you’ll be responsible for owning the day-to-day planning & activation of campaigns that run across all media channels, leveraging our specialist activation teams where needed. You’ll develop the channel mix with the Account Director and media planning team, evaluate the media responses from partners and help to present the final plans back to clients.
  • Coordination: Working with the Account Director and Business Director, this dual role also includes supporting the coordination with our local offices in France and Germany. Whilst they’ll lead planning, we’ll make sure that all work is being delivered to a consistent level and that financial processes are consistent across the hub.

The Work - Media Planning, & Execution

  • Supports responses to brief, the implementation of campaigns, as well as the management of reporting.
  • Utilises the IGNITE (Mediahub's planning process) when responding to all client briefs; actively owns their role within the process.
  • Takes responsibility of all work delivered to the client, by reviewing all key documents/ presentations prior to distribution.
  • Evaluates media proposals and negotiate rates/programs to ensure highest value and efficiencies are delivered to the client.
  • Fosters a challenging mindset with direct reports and internal teams to deliver unique and creative media plans
  • Is aware of the Mediabrands Data, Tools and Technology spine and works with senior members of the team to ensure it is applied on all plans where applicable

 

Client Service

  • Is the lead contact in day-to-day communication with your direct client and nurturing the relationship by delivering high standards of client satisfaction.
  • Regularly presents virtually and in person to the client, responding to questions and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Leads on all regular status calls with clients and ensures all actions are documented by the team and followed up in a timely manner
  • Sets the example to junior members on how to deliver excellent client management
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with media partners, with Mediahub being known as a key agency partners want to work alongside.

 

Commercial

  • Develops a good understanding of Mediahub's products and identifies and alerts senior client team members when there is an opportunity to sell something new to increase revenue
  • Ensures that all direct reports and juniors within your team understand the Media Booking and Reconciliation process and successfully complete all reconciliations on time with 100% accuracy
  • Ensures that the Mediahub finance team are alerted to when invoices can be billed to clients and that those invoices are accurate

 

Career Development & Team Management

  • Train, mentor and support the MPB and Exec within your team. Noteably, supporting the MPB with career development conversations for the Executive/s in your team.
  • Contributes to agency culture and represents your client team by being a voice to the rest of the agency about good work occurring or celebrating individuals successes on your team.
  • Support the Account Director in setting the tone for your team, by living out Mediahub’s values on a daily basis and instilling that in how your team works together.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Prior planning experience across all channels, including TV/Press & Digital, OOH
  • Experience in planning across the UK is key, international is a valuable but not mandatory
  • Embraces a ‘Challenger mindset’ in the delivery of all work and in managing their direct reports. - Excellent client servicing skills.
  • Is Agile in their approach and able to run fast at new opportunities when presented.
  • Experience managing a team, their workload and personal progression
