Role Description 

The Comms Director is tasked with playing a leading role within an integrated planning team. You will work closely with the Client Director to deliver critical business whilst having autonomy to manage other accounts within the team. You will play a crucial role in a leadership capacity whilst also ensuring outstanding day to day delivery across all the accounts you work on. You will be highly organised, personable, collaborative and team-oriented, with confidence in leading a piece of business and will look to nurture and develop talent within your remit. Within this role you will be working across Rockstar Games and Just Eat Takeaway.

You will need to build excellent relationships with clients, wider stakeholders, internal specialist planning teams and those working within your own team. You will have an ambition and proactive mindset to get involved in the broader agency culture as well as building UMs reputation in the wider industry. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the accurate upkeep and delivery of your groups financial processes
  • Understand the billing and revenue on your client's business and proactively bring to the attention of the leadership team monthly fluctuations, opportunities and threats
  • Provide timely and accurate billings projections each month to the account lead
  • Identify opportunities and build strategic recommendation alongside specialist business units to grow revenue within your group
  • Support UM with new business opportunities and ad hoc pitch requests
  • Maintain clarity of thought and calm disposition during high pressure pitch scenarios
  • Work with your team leadership to identify opportunities to provide thought-leadership and build content for external and internal PR
  • Alongside the leadership team develop and implement a learning agenda for your core client base
  • Input in the development of, and significantly contribute to the delivery of annual and ongoing client action plans
  • Collaborate and build close working relationships with third parties and Media Owners to bring innovation and new solutions into the agency to deliver a better UM product

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the media landscape in the UK
  • Demonstrate strong media credentials and possess a current knowledge of industry trends
  • Ability and experience of challenging strategy and ideas to ensure they are remarkable and inspirational for our clients
  • Previous management experience
  • Expertise in using audience planning tools such as TGI, YouGov, Comscore & Touchpoints, Power Point, Excel and finance programs such as DDS and Prisma
