About Us

Initiative unlocks business growth for the world’s most ambitious brands. We believe in the power of media to reshape our industry and orchestrate a brand’s entire consumer experience, by balancing both what unites people and what makes them different.

When brands unite people in culture, they build Fame, and when brands connect individuals to their unique journeys, they build customer Flow.

Media responsibility is at the forefront of everything we do, whether it’s creating media plans that reflect the diversity of our communities, promote brand safety, and foster sustainability.

Our agency celebrates diversity in an inclusive environment where all of our 6,000+ strong talent across 90+ markets feel seen, heard, and valued. Our vision is to create not only a better media company, but also a better media industry, and maybe even a better world.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Group Managing Partner to lead our newly formed B2B division. This division brings together under one leader all our B2B client assignments across technology, SaaS and Health categories.

This critical role will be responsible for the overall success and growth of our relationships with key pharmaceutical, healthcare, technology, and consulting clients. The Managing Director will be the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded through the effective deployment of Initiative's full range of capabilities.

This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record of building high-performing teams, driving organic growth, and successfully converting new business opportunities.

Due to the appointment of more B2B client assignments, we are taking this opportunity to reset how we manage this growing area of our business and create a dedicated vertical to service these business lines.

The ideal candidate will have both Healthcare (ideally pharmaceutical and HCP) and wider B2B experience to credibly lead teams focused across these verticals.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Client Leadership: Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, understanding their business objectives and challenges, and proactively identifying opportunities to deliver value.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a large team of approximately 45 media professionals within the Health team, and oversee the B2B teams, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Strategic Direction: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and profitability within the Health & B2B division, aligning with Initiative's overall business objectives.
  • Product Development: drive innovation and development of our product, evolve the core agency Fame & Flow proposition to represent the needs of B2B and Health clients and businesses.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Health & B2B sectors, leading the development of compelling proposals and presentations to drive revenue growth.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of media services to clients, optimizing resource allocation and driving continuous improvement.
  • Financial Management: Manage the revenue forecasting and growth targets for the Health & B2B division, ensuring financial targets are met and exceeded.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in a senior leadership role within a media agency or related industry, with a focus on Health and B2B clients.
  • Experience of working within a matrix organisation, the ability to collaborate with peers and other network leadership, all in service of achieving both our shared goals and your individual ones.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships at the senior management level.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large, diverse teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Strong business development skills, with a proven ability to identify, pursue, and win new business opportunities.
  • Deep understanding of the media landscape, including traditional and digital channels, and emerging trends.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
