About the Opportunity

We're looking for a passionate and driven Communications Manager to join our IPG Mediabrands team, supporting the UK&I and EMEA regions. If you're a skilled communicator with a knack for strategy and a love for collaboration, this could be the perfect role for you.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of our communications efforts, helping to shape and share our story across all our agencies and business divisions in EMEA. You'll be a key player in driving both internal and external communications, crafting compelling marketing materials, and contributing to initiatives that fuel our network's growth, support our agencies, and attract top talent.

You'll report to the Head of Communications, UK&I and EMEA, and work closely with teams across the globe to ensure our messaging is consistent and impactful. You'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with our amazing EMEA leadership team, as well as our Growth, DEI and Talent leads.

What You'll Do

Reporting to the Head of Communications, UK&I and EMEA, your responsibilities will include:   

  • Roll out Mediabrands’ global communications strategy across EMEA, whilst also supporting the network’s brands across all markets. 
  • Work with UK&I and EMEA Head of Communications to help develop communications strategies to showcase business, talent, and DEI activity. 
  • Execute and roll out strategies to markets, clients, and internal teams - through internal and external PR, thought leadership, events and marketing projects. 
  • Alongside the Head of Communications, act as a central contact for all IPG Mediabrands’ communications throughout EMEA and as an extension of the global comms function.
  • Consult with the new business, talent, and design teams to support all communications efforts in the region. 
  • Support the communications teams by compiling and updating awards spreadsheets, key contact lists and monthly press coverage reports for the region. 

Partnership with Global, Agency and Local Market Comms Teams  

  • Work to ensure adoption and drive unified brand messaging across the entire organisation working with communications partners across our brands. 
  • Coordinate local market comms teams for the delivery of global comms into the markets. 
  • Keep the global comms team up to date with activity and developments in EMEA. 
  • Build strong relationships with local market comms teams and lead on monthly calls with our communications community to share great work and best practice.

 

 Marketing Communications – PR, branding, profiling, podcast series and events 

  • Provide support for internal and external awards entries and judging, providing editorial support to markets where necessary. 
  • Work closely with the EMEA Growth Team on our internal knowledge base including management, development and copywriting of the case study library and monthly communications plan to drive awareness.
  • Work with the EMEA Market Intelligence team on their internal EMEA podcast identifying content topics, speakers and managing internal communications plan.
  • Support the EMEA Creative team with all branding and creative comms output and be the point of contact for all markets with any of their branding requirements. 
  • Develop and oversee external facing assets including press releases, talking points, scripts, presentations, Q&As, briefing documents and fact sheets that create awareness and establish our position.
  • Oversee content and execution of internal and external events aligned with our DEI and culture initiatives and market intelligence teams across the region including media partner collaborations and agency meetings. 
  • Work alongside the EMEA Talent Team to drive internal podcast series, Closer Together in addition to content development of intranet for knowledge sharing.
  • Keep current on relevant industry issues that could impact our business, position, or messaging. Staying informed: You 'll keep up-to-date on industry issues that could impact our business.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience as a Marcomms professional with excellent communications skills.
  • A collaborative spirit and a can-do attitude.
  • Demonstrable skills in marketing, communications, and public relations.
  • Strong copywriting skills and experience developing press releases and marketing collateral.
  • Event management skills and experience.
  • A problem-solving mindset with the ability to think analytically.
  • Experience working with senior managers and C-suite level executives.
  • Spanish, German, or Dutch speaking/writing skills (preferred but not essential).
